Founded in 1987, Cathy Brand-Beere began working with chocolate at the age of eight. Throughout high school Cathy made and sold custom designed wedding cakes as a summer job, but it was her passion for confectionery arts that led her to open the first DeBrand chocolate shop in October 1987.

Today, DeBrand employs nearly 100 people with three shops in Fort Wayne

Rose Chocolate


Rose Chocolate – If you like rose flavored chocolates the rose chocolate produced by Minamoto is not to be missed !!  Because  of the intense heat in Japan, you can only find them in the Fall BUT they are exported outside the country the rest of the year.
It isha  a subtle rose flavor, covered in a rich chocolate coating.

Named after Minamoto no Yoritomo, who initiated the Samurai Government of Kamakura in 1192. Minamoto founded in Japan in 1947 opened their first flagship store in New York, now with several locations world wide.

Today Violet Crumble is an Australian chocolate bar manufactured in Campbellfield near Melbourne, Australia, by Nestlé.
